Being German myself, and having lived in various places abroad, mainly in the Middle East and in the US, I have lived in many different living communities and housing projects. I appreciate groups that share their daily lives while leaving enough room for privacy. I also prefer groups that follow a few basic agreements rather than a strict set of rules. Finally, I really value good communication. Clearly, that's not always easy and might also require more time and energy, but I believe creating a safe space for everyone by encouraging trust, equality, openness, and respect, makes it so important to address issues in conversation and also learn to define boundaries together.

Hi, I’m Carmen! I work as an Assistant Professor of Ethics and Political Philosophy at Radboud University. Before moving to the Netherlands last year, I lived and worked in the United States, where I also completed my PhD. Originally from Germany, I’m happy to be back in Europe and closer to my family, but I'm still finding my way through the Dutch housing market and would love to share a place with others. Beyond philosophy, I enjoy staying active—whether through sports, hiking, or simply exploring new places. I also love going to the movies and keeping in touch with friends. I’m a social person—honest, proactive, and outgoing—though I also appreciate my alone time. I’m open to different co-living options in Nijmegen, whether it’s living in a room or a larger space. I value a home that’s comfortable, friendly, and balanced between social activity and personal space. If you know of any opportunities or think we’d be a good match as housemates, I’d love to connect!
