X non binary person looking for short-term woongroep or sublet - March 2026

Hoi hoi! I am moving to the Netherlands from the US in March, 2026. I am looking to live in a woongroep short term, or a sublet, where I can register myself - while I look for longer term housing for my partner and I. (I also will make an additional post about looking for longer term place to live.) Interested in Amsterdam, Rotterdam & Utrecht. My partner will join me when I find a more long term living situation.

for temporary situation - I think literally anything would be great, 3-6 months, that could accommodate me bringing a cat. I would be willing to keep her confined to the room. She's 12 years old, very friendly, and well behaved. I would hope the space is relatively quiet - I'll likely be working and seeing clients via telehealth in my room.

I'd be open and interested with any type of group, but I fit in best with: queers, neurodivergent people, artists, activists, change workers. I enjoy spaces that have interaction together, like cooking, eating and shopping together, and I like getting to know and spending time with my housemates. but I also know it can be challenging depending on everyone's schedules and needs. so in short i'm open to a variety of situations in terms of how we interact and share the space, our time together, caring for the space and each other but my preference would be for more interaction and shared time/household activities together.
I enjoy living with others who have aligned values / politics and or collaborate on mutual aid or creative projects. Hopefully you speak english, but I'm very motivated to learn to spreek nederlands, so I'll try my best.

I'm 40 years old; queer, and non-binary/trans masculine; a therapist with my own practice. I've lived in collective housing before. I am vegetarian, and I don't drink or smoke (but don't mind if you do). I would describe myself as lighthearted, silly, and also serious at times; I deeply care about how I occupy spaces and the world, and interpersonal relationships with others. I love animals, especially cats! and I like a wide variety of music, books, etc. I'm a mix of introvert and extrovert - enjoy socializing with others but a homebody and I recharge through my chill alone time. I enjoy nature, riding my motorcycle, coffee, cooking and baking , reading, a variety of games (tabletop RPG, board games, some videogames) talking about and being involved in social change work, politics, history, mental health.
