- We live on Bloemerstraat, a multicultural and lively street in the center of Nijmegen. From our house, there’s a 7’ walk from the station and many grocery shops, 10’ walk to the Waal and 15’ to the Ooij.

- A not-so-steep staircase full of space to hang coats and backpacks goes to the first floor, with a spacious living room, small storage room, kitchen and big roof terrace ✨. This is where we spend most of our time, chilling on the big sofa, co-working in the living room, cooking for each other, or having friends over. On the second floor we share a central hallway and a bathroom. We’re a no-shoes household!

- The available room is 8,5 sqm and has a cozy balcony facing South, an in-wall wardrobe and a little built-in desk. Note: the room picture that you see underneath doesn’t reflect the current furniture! At the moment there’s a high bed with a double mattress and a couch underneath. All the furniture you will see during the viewing can either stay, be donated or repurposed if you wish to bring your own. You are free to change the room in whatever way suits you best.

We’re a household of four, currently two Dutchies, an Italian, and you next :). We’re leftist, active in our communities, enjoy reading to get deep into topics, care for the environment and want our actions to reflect that. We show up for each other, listening when somebody is going through difficult moments, and sharing when exciting things happen. We sometimes cook (vegan or vegetarian) dinners together, and we invest time in each other as we do with our little house.
We’re a queer (& friendly), neurodivergent, engaged in activism, dumpster diving household, so we’d like to welcome someone who is supportive and reflective of the same values. - Huidige samenstelling

We are Femke, M. and Sieb, living together since May 2025.
Femke (she, 28) works on economics education reform to center people and planet over profit and money, and is involved in the degrowth movement and student activism in economics. She likes to boulder, wear colorful clothing, and loves cooking when she knows other people will share a meal with her.
M. (they, 28) focuses on design for accessibility and finds their purpose in being active in the queer community. They love stories about people, art museums and playing games of all kinds. They have an expertise in finding all sorts of treasures for free by scavenging Marktplaats and the streets, to make spaces cozy and put together.
Sieb (he, 34) spends most of his time involved in activist community spaces, and being part of mediation and accountability processes. He also likes to boulder and get that body moving, while at home he’s more often than not trying new recipes out. He thinks activism is important for making a society that is actually working, so he spends his sweet time on that and in what way he could show up better as a person.
Our beloved house pets are worms, which transfer our organic waste into worm compost. There could also potentially be a senior puppy joining in the upcoming months. - Gezochte personen

We’re looking for someone who has an honest way of communicating, ready to invest in the house on a practical level, and who wants to feel at home in belonging and not just coexisting. Our age preference would be mid-twenties/mid-thirties, although what matters is that you’re able to work with challenging situations, take criticism, be inquisitive, and reflect back. We will need to have confronting arguments, and be able to make up for them in a safe(r) environment. :)
We also value how a good laugh can bring us together! Some chaotic, laid back energy is always welcome to light things up. We appreciate someone who’s social, propositive of activities to do, likes eating together, a person that takes the time to check in with you, and also values alone time.
We want to make space for people who don’t have Dutch as a first language (yay internationals!), and we also wish to acknowledge that we’re openly giving priority to people who we feel would be a match with our current household that come from marginalised backgrounds and would have less opportunity in the Dutch housing market. Initial period of one year (with registration), with a renewable permanent contract. We intend to evaluate together after one year and to encourage all of us to actively reflect about how we feel about living together. - Beelden
