The house is split into two sides. You would live on the front side, which sits above the anarchist cafe De Klinker. You share a kitchen with 6 housemates. There are already two small dogs and a few snails living on this side of the house, so we can only accept small non-hairy pets.

There is a large (around 16sqm?), sunny bedroom with a window on the 1st floor opening up. There is the possibility to take over some furniture (for free) in discussion.

The living group of De Grote Broek, a historic legalized squat in the city center, is looking for a new resident. The building is a space for leftist activism.

The woongroep of the Grote Broek is located on top of De Klinker and De Onderbroek. These three collectives, plus others which use the space, cooperate to take care of the entire building. The living group has monthly meetings with either side of the house and for the whole building. We cook vegetarian/vegan dinners for each other on both sides every week and occasionally have shared meals with the whole house. Several housemates also choose to volunteer in de Klinker, de Onderbroek and other collectives downstairs. Since we recently bought the house as a collective, this brings a lot of admin, house maintenance and bureaucratic processes with it.
Huidige samenstelling
We are a living group of 13 people (including you) separated into two sides of the building. We're a diverse household with people of different backgrounds and identities who are linked by our interest in community building and intersectional activism. There is a separate living group in another part of the building.
Gezochte personen
Living in De Broek is a commitment, and we are looking for someone who a) can live here for a long time and b) is enthusiastic to engage with the community in their own way. We aim to provide housing to people that are disadvantaged in the Dutch housing market and in Dutch society at large. That means we center BIPOC/differently-abled/queer people and will give priority to that in our process. We are looking for someone who takes initiative and responsibility to take care of the space. We welcome both practical skills (plumbing! electrical! cooking!) as well as emotional/intellectual (conflict resolution! care! bureaucracy!).
