I'm looking for someone interested in swapping rooms and rental contracts.
I live in a friendly woongroep of 8 people in Amsterdam Oud-West. The room is 22 m², bright, quiet and stays pleasantly cool in summer. The house has a spacious shared living room, kitchen, bathroom, and a rooftop terrace. The neighbourhood is lively, with cafés, supermarkets, parks, and public transport all within walking distance.
My housemates are in their 30s and 40s, a mix of Dutch and international, so the languages spoken vary depending on who is around. It's a relaxed household where everyone respects each other's privacy. There are no compulsory dinners or meetings, but people often end up chatting in the kitchen over coffee or a glass of wine. The shared spaces are cleaned weekly by a professional, so there's very little to organise.
