- the former housemate paid 760€ for this room (contract from 2 years ago), DUWO increases the price every year so that we can assume it about 800 at least. The final price will be offered from DUWO/ room.nl to the candidate directly. The room is eligible for huurtoeslag. In addition comes 25€ for internet and shared supplies in the house

- The house has a top location in Amsterdam West. Directly infront of our door is the tram station Rhijnvis Feithstraat and in the back is the Vondelpark.

- We share the entire house, consisting of three floors, basement and backyard. The people of the first two floors share the big kitchen and bathroom (including you), while the top floor has its own little kitchen and bathroom.

- Your room is vast, consisting of about 25m2, with mezzanine, walk-in closet, and already built in office corner. The room has four big windows facing west and north, so you get sun from the afternoon onwards. You also have a little balcony towards the street Overtoom, which can get quite busy, so sound of traffic shouldn't bother you.

We are a diverse group, of dutch and internationals all in their late twenties/ early thirties up to 50 years old. All of us are still in academia, as this is the requirenment for our rental contracts. We are a living group, so we value shared meals, time and responsibility. Because we are a quite big group (seven people) it is hard to get all of us together and we do not have a fixed schedule for regular meetings. But because of the shared kitchen we naturally run into each other daily, often ending up eating or sometimes hanging out together.
We also have a cleaning schedule that rotates monthly, so everyone has their responsibility in the house. Despite that we try to arrange a klusjesdag every now and then. - Huidige samenstelling

You will be living with six others.
Starting with Doro on the ground floor. She loves to laugh and fool around, spontaneous acticities like bike tours, gym and boulder sessions, and is very creative. She just finished her bachelor in Psychology and will now start with her Masters.
You will live on the second floor, together with Suzan, who is already living since two decades in the house and always has an answer and solution for everything. She is an extremely good cook and loves to do so especially for others and to eat together. She is the mom of Alma, one of our cats, which is a bit shy, but whith some patience and compliments you will win her trust :)
Then there is Francesco, who is living right next to your room. He joined our group at the end of last year and is currently doing an internship in Italy for half a year. He is almost always in a good mood, also loves bikes, beer and works in an irish pub. He is the dad of Leila, our other little fluff ball of cat. For his time of absence Maebh is living in his room and takes care of Leila. She is a colleague of Francesco from the irish pup and actually from Dublin. She just moved in two days ago.
On the top floor lives Xavier, who likes to go out, plays soccer and is into fast bikes as well. He is working as a chef and is really easy going. He doesn't own a cat, but loves when they come and visit him.
At the same floor lives Johanne, who studies Theater direction and always has some cool projects going on at her school. She regularly invites us to watch her premiers/ plays and usually at least a few of us are going.
Lastly there is Dörte, also living in the top floor. She is very strong, so if you need someone to carry up your furniture, she could be your person. She is working and climbing almost daily at the climbing hall and about to finish her Master in Philosophy next year. - Gezochte personen

Your contract will be signed with DUWO, thus you have to be ENROLLED FULL TIME IN AMSTERDAM (student/ Phd)
Despite that we are looking for someone in their mid twenties or older, as we are all a bit older ourselves. In addition, you should be an open and social person, that is not just renting a room in our little castle, but actively participates and takes over responsibility for the house and the group. - Beelden
