I (Leandra) am subletting my spacious room of about 20m2 with a semi high sleeper for 2 months (22nd of June to 22nd of August).

Do you want to try to live in en Eco Community? Do you have a heart for nature and the environment? Would you like to live in a friendly, social, ecological community? We may be looking for you! We are Petra, Flo, Maud, Leandra and Flynn (dog). We share a kitchen, living room and bathroom together, and we each have a spacious bedroom (just over 20m2). We are sharing most of our food because we are eating (vegan) together every night (this is not mandatory but very nice if it is possible).
We are part of a larger community of 50 people known as Strowijk Iewan. Iewan is a community based on social and ecological living. We share some amazing facilities, like a beautiful garden, a workshop, office space, a little eco-grocery and a cool multi-functional yoga space / event venue / café and more - the pleasure and responsibility of these you will share with the rest of Iewan. We also have some pretty high-tech sustainability systems, like a wastewater filtering system and a set of solar panels that together provide us with, on average, 100% of our electricity use (how awesome is that!?). Iewan is situated on the east side of Lent, right next to the river and a quick 15 minute bikeride from the Nijmegen city centre. Current composition
We are Petra (25 y, working at Blixem, De Warmoes and supporting an elderly lady in everyday tasks, dancing a lot in her free time and enjoying company of friends), Flo (31 y, currently in between jobs, making a lot of beautiful music and taking part at the Roos van Nijmegen (vote for Flo!), Maud (27y, working as an art therapist, going crazy with ceramics, love second hand shops), Flo’s dog Flynn (2y, loves walking at the Waal and loves licking out peanutbutterbuckets) and Leandra (29y, I will we travelling for two months and would be happy if someone would use my cosy room in the mean time :) ). We are eating together every night and sharing our dinners with each other where we tell about our days and are in this way pretty much up to date about each other. We are living close with each other and hope that the subrenter is also open for this, though it’s not a must!
Ideal resident
We are looking for someone with a heart for social and sustainable living. Someone with a mindset of caring and responsibility for the people, places and things around you; easygoing and familial. Students are welcome, but realise that we are not a ‘student house‘ as such 😉
