Indication group composition
We’re hoping to bring together a diverse group of people in their 20s and 30s, who are open-minded, curious and genuinely excited about living together.
We’d love to have a queer-friendly home, with people from different backgrounds, cultures and walks of life. You don’t have to share all the same interests or opinions. In fact, we’d much rather have a mix of personalities, perspectives and passions.
What matters most is having a community mindset. You enjoy being around people, sharing parts of everyday life and contributing to the household, while also respecting that everyone needs their own space and time.
Bonus points if you’re into things like cooking together, gardening, DIY, sustainability, activism, creative projects, spontaneous dinners, deep conversations or simply making a house feel like a home.
Basically, looking for people who want to live together, not just live next to each other.
Ideology
Looking for people to create an intentional co-living home in Rotterdam!
Hi! I’m Rosita, 28, Italian, and I’ve been living in Rotterdam for the past three years. I’m looking to find a few like-minded people who would be interested in creating a shared home together.
I’m not looking for a house where everyone simply rents a room and occasionally says hi in the kitchen. I’d love to build something a bit more intentional: a home where people have their own lives, space and independence, but also genuinely enjoy being part of a household.
For me, that could mean cooking and eating together, having a drink after work, helping each other out, working on projects around the house, growing things in the garden, spontaneously doing something together, or simply being around each other without everything having to be planned.
I’m Italian, so this kind of togetherness has always been a pretty natural part of my life. Food is a big one for me, and I’d love a house where cooking for each other and sharing a meal is part of the everyday rhythm. I’m also quite handy and enjoy gardening, DIY, fixing things and getting involved in projects. I love brainstorming, throwing ideas around and seeing what we can actually make happen.
I’m quite extroverted and have plenty of energy, but I’m also very empathetic and value people’s individual rhythms and privacy. I’m not looking for a house where we have to do everything together. More a place where being social, caring for each other and having your own space can naturally coexist.
Outside of home, I work for an NGO in Amsterdam and I’m passionate about sustainability and activism. I have a pretty active lifestyle and enjoy skateboarding, gardening, going to the cinema, discovering new places and generally getting involved in things.
After three years in Rotterdam, I’m looking for something more long-term and would love to put down some roots here. Ideally, I’d like to find **3–5 people around my age who feel similarly**, and then look for a house together rather than trying to squeeze ourselves into an existing setup.
If this sounds like the kind of home you’d like to be part of, send me a message! Tell me a little about yourself, what you’re looking for in a shared home, and what you’d love to bring to it.
Maybe we can find a house, make a ridiculous amount of food, grow some vegetables and figure the rest out together 🌱🍝
Planning
At this stage, nothing is set in stone. The idea is to first find a group of people who are excited about the same kind of living, and then figure out the details together: how many people, where we want to live, what kind of house we’re looking for, how we want to organise the household, what we want to share, and what our budget looks like.
