Ecological Californian family of 3 wishing to live cooperatively in NL
Rotterdam / Utrecht / Driebergen / Nijmegen
Close enough to cycle or commute by train to Erasmus University Rotterdam, where I work as an environmental philosophy and public health professor.
In a beautiful quite nature area close to train connections.
By a lake or swimable river, above sea level, with our own space but shared resources and common spaces. We'd like 90-140 sq. meters of private space (for child's bedroom, home office, etc.) well insulated, lots of light, well-built; hopefully something that is already set up, ready to move into. Fire place a bonus.
All ages, children, intergenerational living and support. Eating together once a week, doing chores together; gardening; no smoking around the home area (I work in public health); carfree on the property; deep ecological commitments and values; ethical/spiritual orientation; reverence of life.
Expression through the arts, healing arts, creativity, creating and serving our community, growing a long-term project to pass on to future generations.
We are the YaNug family:
a papa (39), environmental philosopher and public health professor at EUR, writing books and articles published in top academic presses and popular media on the intersection of the environment and health; also a Hang player, life-long professional musician, and AcroYoga teacher
a mama (33), ecotherapist, gardener, cook, singer, and main caretaker of
baby Rio (2.5), lover of dance, avid reader, cuddler, runner, singer
We all have experience co-living, papa 10 years in the San Francisco Bay Area and in Berlin. We all are active, often out and about, working, playing, meeting friends all over Holland and beyond. We love to travel throughout Europe by train, too.
