I am hoping to find something 15ish-minute bike ride from center but would live farther out if the place and people are right!
Ideal space
I would like something that is on a fairly quiet street/building, with access to the outdoors whether it's a patio or garden, or if that is not possible some green space nearby.
I like a home that is clean but I don't get stressed out about the ebb and flow of messes that happen with life.
I do quite a bit of crafting and I also am learning how to repair sewing machines so a room with space for a small workbench or space for one elsewhere in the house is ideal.
Ideal group
My ideal housemates would be considerate, use open communication, and want to live in intentional community. I like to be social and have potlucks or parties occasionally but I also value my quiet alone time, so striking that balance with housemates is also important to me. Being politically aware and far left-leaning is also important to me. It would be nice to live with other creative people as well.
No white people with dreads, I am anti-racist and I only want to live with others who are working on the same.

I am 42 years old, QPOC, vegan (but don't need to have a vegan kitchen), I work in a kitchen, teach yoga, work construction/as a handyperson, and I am teaching myself how to build websites and repair sewing machines. I also do a lot of crafting and sewing.
I moved to Utrecht from Philly about 6 months ago and I am enjoying getting to know the city and learning Dutch.
I love to cook, garden, and do all kinds of homey stuff. I am looking to be a housemate, not just live with people. I would love to find a space where housemates hang out some, eat together some, but also there is space for alone time when needed. I have lived in intentional communities most of my adult life. I appreciate open communication where honesty and compassion are part of both easy and challenging problem-solving. I like a clean space, especially the kitchen and bathroom. I don't mind the messiness or clutter that can come with life, but dirty is not comfortable for me.
