Rotterdam is beautiful, but anywhere closer to the city centre is ideal

(EN below) Ik ben helemaal tevreden met een eigen kleine kamer, zolang de keuken maar fantastisch is. Ik hou ontzettend van koken en ben jarenlang kok geweest, dus hoe fijner de keuken hoe beter.
Ik heb wel twee prachtige lieve katten die meeverhuizen, dus bewoners moeten niet verkeerd staan tegen over huisdieren.

I am fully statisfied with a small personal space, as long as the kitchen is fantastic. I used to be a chef and adore cooking, so the better the kitchen the better my stay!
I do have two lovely cats that will be moving with me, so the community does need to accept pets.

(EN below) Een fijne, sociale, regeneratieve groep die op elkaar let maar ook goed op zichzelf kan zijn en dit van anderen accepteert. Ik zou een groep die geregeld met elkaar eet fantastisch vinden.

A nice, kind, social and regenerative group that watches over each other, but also knows how to be on their own and independent, and accepting of others that need some of this alone time. I would love a community that regularly eats together.

Ik ben Daan, 32 jaar oud en momenteel woonachtig in Rotterdam. Mijn leven ademt activisme, zowel in mijn werk als in mijn andere activiteiten. Ik werk voor Greenpeace in Amsterdam, waar ik naast mijn normale werkzaamheden ook deel uitmaak van hun ondernemingsraad. Naast daadwerkelijk kantoorwerk ben ik natuurlijk ook 'in the field' te vinden, zowel voor Greenpeace als voor Extinction Rebellion. Voor die laatste heb ik de afgelopen jaren heel wat werk verzet, zowel in actieplanning, als perswoordvoerder, én in community organizing. Ik zou hier heel gedetailleerd op in kunnen gaan, maar dat is misschien beter voor als we elkaar ontmoeten!
Er is natuurlijk meer in het leven dan activisme, hoewel het wel een groot deel van mijn tijd in beslag neemt. Ik speel viool en houd daarom van veel verschillende soorten muziek, hoewel ik me in mijn eigen spel vooral richt op bluegrass, americana en country. Ik speel ook graag Dungeons and Dragons en andere hobby's zijn boulderen, klimmen, analoge fotografie en naar de bioscoop gaan. Ik ben ook dol op koken, ben 8 jaar kok geweest en heb dus meer dan genoeg veganistische recepten om uit te proberen.
Ik neem twee lieve katten mee die verbazingwekkend lief zijn, en gek genoeg ontzettend netjes!
-- I am Daan, 32 years old and currently living in Rotterdam. My life breaths activism, both in my work and in my other activities. I work for Greenpeace in Amsterdam, where apart from my normal duties I am also part of their workers council (OR). Apart from the actual office work I can of course also be found in 'the field', both for Greenpeace and Extinction Rebellion. For the latter I have done quite a lot of work the past few years, both in action-planning, as press-spokesperson, ánd in community organizing. I could go on in great detail, but that's maybe best left for when we meet!
There is of course more to life than activism, although it does take up a huge chunk of my time. I play the violin and as such love a lot of different kinds of music, although in my own play I mainly focus on bluegrass, americana and country. I also like to play some Dungeons and Dragons, and other hobbies include bouldering, climbing, analogue photography and going to the cinema. I also absolutely love cooking, spend 8 years as a professional chef, and as such have more than enough vegan recipes to try out on you.
I will bring two lovely cats with me that are amazingly sweet, and funnily enough quite neat!
