I'm Alder, a 37-year-old nonbinary person. I'm quiet and introspective. I prefer practical living and simple organic food, and enjoy cycling and walking in nature. I'm a firmware engineer and enjoy programming for fun as well. I read a lot of LGBTQ fiction, and used to read a lot of sci-fi and fantasy as well. I like feel-good movies and slice of life anime.
I'm from America, but it doesn't feel like a safe place for transgender people anymore, so I'm exploring other countries and looking for a better home. I think the Netherlands would be a great place for me, but I want to stay there for a couple months before I start the immigration process. I don't speak very much Dutch yet, unfortunately.
For the next couple months, I'll be living with some locals in Canada, and I'd like to do something similar in the Netherlands after that. I really like living with people who know the area. It's nice to talk in the common areas. I wish the people I'm living with wanted to play games or watch movies together.
