Ideally in/close to West, Zuid-West, or Zuid. Close to public transportation.
Ideal space
Ideally 1st floor if no elevator. Direct sunlight. View of greenery or a canal or something else "natury." Would love a self-contained space that also has a shared kitchen/living room for community time.
Definitely clean, though.
Ideal group
Ideally calm, clean, and rather organized, mature people regardless of age. People who want a good community but who also can accept others who need time alone.
MUSTS: People who are fine with someone with some limitations due to health issues, and who keep their politics and religion to themselves.
Describe yourself
Hoi mensen!
I'll start with some basics for screening purposes:
-I speak some Dutch (and other languages) but my first language is English. -I don't have pets or children. -I don't smoke, though every once in a while I've smoked weed for a birthday celebration or something like that. Haven't in a long time/don't know if I can anymore. -I no longer drink alcohol, but I don't care what others do. -I'm an omnivore. -I write. -Cat allergies but fine with dogs!
If all that sounds good, then here's a bit about me: I've moved and traveled quite a bit, to the point I'm not really from anywhere in particular - maybe you've heard the term "third culture kid"? I'm like that :) I do have citizenship from a EU country, so no issues with visas.
I'm an introvert who enjoys smaller groups and laid back conversations rather than parties and heated political discussions. Over the years I've lived with various roommates, but I never lived in a "woongroep" such as the ones I've heard of in Amsterdam; a friend lives in one, though, and loves it, and as I'm looking for stronger community connections, it seems the time is ripe for my turn in one!
Something that is crucial others understand is that I have a chronic illness. No, it's not contagious, and I'm not about to keel over. I'm functional and all, but I do need some rest, though, and it's possible I might need help carrying things if my condition gets really bad - it hasn't in a long time, but the possibility is always there. Anyway, feel free to ask me any questions you have.
