Ideal location
My main preference is to NOT be near the center of a city. I'd like to be some place that's a bit less crowded and hectic, even if it means that things may be a little less convenient and accessible.
Being close to a good-sized park or a bit of nature would be lovely.
Must have registration.
Ideal space
I'd prefer to live with just one or two other people, but would be happy to join a group of up to four.
Ideal group
I'm a bit sensitive to smoke, so I need a non-smoking home.
I also do not drink, but I don't mind if others in the house do.
I make way too many baked goods for a single person to eat (cookies, brownies, banana bread, focaccia, etc.), so I'd be happy to live in a place where my housemate(s) will help me eat them!
I am vegan, but I do not mind living with people who are not. I've lived in several households with mixed dietary needs/preferences.
Making dinners together, playing video or board games together, and watching TV together would all be welcome. :) I'd like to be friends with the people I'm living with, even if we spend the majority of our time separately.
Describe yourself
I moved to the Randstad region from the United States (specifically, Ohio) in January. I'll need housing starting in May: ideally the beginning of May, but I have flexibility for move-in dates (late April - June).
I am learning Dutch, but still very much a beginner, so English is unfortunately the only language I am currently fluent in.
It's important to me that the housing group I join is queer-friendly (and ideally has some fellow queer people as well!). I am nonbinary and transmasc, and I'd like to live in a house where I can feel truly safe at home, and where we can support one another.
The work that I do right now is remote, so it's likely that I will be in the house often. Happy to co-work together and/or watch any house pets!
In my free time, I like to do creative things like drawing and painting, as well as reading webcomics and watching anime. I climb regularly (bouldering and top rope), and would be very happy to do so with housemates (even if you haven't climbed before but are interested in trying -- let's do it!!).
At home, I tend to be quiet: a morning person who is in bed pretty early (usually by 9 PM).
I don't currently have any pets, but I'd love to live in a home where pets are present!
